Eco-COUNCIL

Who we are and what we do

World Oceans Day Assembly led by Eco-Council

We are eco-councillors from year 2 to year 6 and work alongside Mini Vinnies and our School Council to encourage our whole school to be more environmentally friendly. We help raise awareness of reducing waste, recycling and re-use in and around school. We also support Fairtrade and the work of CAFOD.

We carry out environmental reviews to see what we are doing well in school and what we need to improve on as part of our commitment toward becoming an eco-school. Watch this space for our action plans that are required criteria to achieve our bronze and silver awards.

We believe everyone has a responsibility to caring for our common home as Pope Francis has asked us to do in his papal open letter Laudato si
