Retreats, Pilgrimages and Residentials

Throughout the school year, both staff and pupils have the opportunity to grow closer to God through planned retreats and pilgrimages. These range from a simple pilgrimage across our school grounds to church to celebrate Mass, to some of our pupils and families visiting Lourdes as part of the Parish and Diocesan communities.

These experiences offer members of our school community a time of peace and space in which to reflect on the love that God holds for each one of us and how we live out His mission in our world today.

Staff Retreat to Bolton Abbey

Prior to COVID to begin the school year, Mr Flood led the staff team in a retreat to Bolton Abbey. Staff were given a tour of the Abbey and the Priory ruins and learnt about the devout lives led by the Augustinian Monks who resided their in 12th - 16th Centuries. Mr Flood then led the staff in reflection in a beautiful spot by the river where all were invited to decorate a pebble with signs and symbols of prayer.
