Year 3 Remote Learning Weekly Timetable

Here a few comments from parents and children regarding home learning in lockdown.

What have been the strengths of the remote learning for your child in the current lockdown?

  •  Videos allowing to do work at own pace / time table / commitments
  • Children have been pretty much learning as though they were in ‘real’ school.
  • Working for six hours will make returning to school easier and less challenging for them when they return.
  • Get to see and appreciate more what they're learning in school
  • Knowing exactly what work needs to be done when and very routine unlike the last lockdown. The video lessons are good for explaining the tasks set from a pre recorded video of the teacher. The optional drop in sessions also good as if he his stuck he knows there is help to ask.
  • Providing routine and structure. Keeping in touch with teacher and rest of class.
  • She’s loving being independent and being able to access Google Classrooms so easily.
  • Having books to match the learning rather than electronic worksheets that need to be printed out at home.
  • Better connected with teacher & class.
  • Pre-recordings to explain tasks are very valuable.
  • More engaging, better continuity.
  • Small group catch ups are really good.
  • Routine check-in with teacher.
  • Being able to watch videos and pause them to further explain what is expected etc.
  • Better engaged in learning and feels less isolated
